Meet the Dentists

You know you're in Maple Avenue Family Dentistry when you see the sign that says, "Caution: you are entering Red Sox Nation." Dr. Goff and Dr. Barone have a friendly rivalry going with one a hard core Red Sox fan and the other a dyed-in-the-wool New York Yankees fan. The Yankees tissue box is an indicator that there are some tears being shed.

Dr. James Goff grew up in Rumford, did his undergraduate work at University of Rhode Island and received his dental degree from Tufts University. He interned at Walter Reed Army Hospital. He opened an office in Riverside in 1974 and moved the practice to Barrington in 1994.

Dr. Andrea Barone, who spent two years as Dr. Goff's associate before becoming his partner, grew up in New York, and graduated from Providence College. He graduated from the dental school at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, and did his residency at Long Island College Hospital. Dr. Barone recently was elected president of the Bristol County Dental Society and serves on the board of the Rhode Island Dental Association.
